On Friday morning the repoit of the engineer sent by Government to review the scheme was available, and the engineer was present to support his views. After both parties had stated the minimum they were prepared to accept the Committee deliberated in private, but up to the present have not reporte 1 to the House. It is expected, however, that they will do so to-day (Wednesday), and in our next issue we hope to be in a position to give full infonmrtioii.
