The well-performed trotting horso Papanui will be at tho sorvice of breeders iu the Pukekohe and Waiuku districts this season. On breeding, conformation and speed Papanui takes rank with tho best sires in the Dominion. Papanui took records of 4.46 two miles and 2.19 for the mile in one afternoon at tho Auckland Trotting Club's summer meeting, which stamps him as a horse of great staying power. The sire, Wildwood (4119) son of Good Gift, was ono of the greatest stallions ever sent out of Amorica. Ho also sired two Australasian champions in Eibbonwood and Wildwood Junior. Papanui is a dark brown horse, good-tempered, with excellent constitution and has already proved himself a suro foul-getter, clearly denoting his assured success as a sire.
