LOAN PROPOSALS.
Approved by Ratepayers. There was about 150 presout at Monday r'ght'a meeting of ratepayers iu the Masonic Hall to hear the proposals of tho I'ukekohe Borough Count'' with respect to the projected loan. The Mayor (Mr W. Duon) presided aud all the Cot'Wors except Cr. Hart we r e on tho platform. A*ter discission the meeting sanctioned the Council's proposa' to raise loans for the Wowing streets : Seddon-sUeet £4OO, SoJdou-streot to town bouudaiy £OSO, West Road £BOO, Puyi Koa'f*£soo; Queen-street (Seddon Lamp to B ;l key's coiuor) £SOO, Mamkau Koad £IOOO, Eaststreet £3OO, Harris-street (in addition to £3OO unexpended from Tow a Board allocation) £2OO, total £1350. Approval was given to raise £SOO for quari y works, otc. £4OOO was approved to discharge oristing waterworks liabilities and those interested are to consider the question of raising £-500 and join water area.
