A pleasant little gathering place at the residence of Mil Dickson on Thursday inst., the occasion being to raisenH to provide a chair for the pulpit fl our Presbyterian Church. Aboutfl people were present and several and instrumental solos were rendtjH during the afternoon. The sum ofH 10s was collected and the partj JH eluded with an IH very pleasing to see wfafl hearted enthusiasm as 011 this occasion in connection wfl the churcli and it is intonded to jjl a similar party in the near futuiffl order to provide funds for the improvement.
