WAIUKU.
There passed away on May 27th a very old an<| respected colonist in the person of tjhe late Mrs Tivanon, of | Kariotahi, Waiuku, after a long and painful illness. The deceased arrived m here with fcer husband in the ship M Matoka in 1865, and saw many ups and downs <sf early pioneering life. She leaves a 1 grown-up family of three sons, three daughters, and 17 grandchildren The funeral took place at Waiuku Cemetery, Eev Father Wright officiating. /I Another 6ld resident passed away Jk on Sunday | morning, June 9th (Mrs I Elizabeth Campbell, widow of the late I Mr Archibald Campbell). The de- I ceased lady was taken ill suddenly on I Thursday atj midday, and rapidly grew I worse until the end came. She was I aged 86 years, nnd is survived by two sons and two daughters.
