Constable Connor, of Matamata, has a beautiful specimen of the Himalayan poppy growing in his garden. This rare plant was brought back oy one of the recent expeditions to India and has n. l'os* “vnuisite blue flower. So far a: is known uonstaDle Connor’s specimen is the only one in the district and it is thriving in a remarkable manner.
