The Waikato Trotting Club wrote with reference to complimentary J# tisekets, stating that it was generally agreed there was a weakness, and that unanimity on the question of curtailment was desirable. A conference was suggested and relating thereto the Matamata club was asked whether it favoured a conference on the subject to be held in Hamilton towards the end of November. The chairman held that it was a step in the right direction. Jn his opinion complimentary tickets were thrown about too freely; so much s» at times that to be fair the gate should be free to all. On the motion of Mr. Price, it was decided to answer all questions inthe affirmative. On the motion of Mr. S. Banks, the chairman and Mr. Price were appointed as delegates. Five Shilling Tickets. The secretary asked if 5s totalisator tickets were to be considered at the conference with the operators of the totalisator. The chairman stated he thought that 5s tickets was simply a lever to get bookmakers back. Mr. Price thought the matter was best left alone. This view found general agreement-
