MORRINSVILLE. | At the Farmers’ Auctioneering i Company’s Morrinsville sale on Fri- | day there, was a good yarding of fat | sheep and fat cattle and a small | yarding of store cattle. Prices were on a par with rates ruling elsewhere. A pen of 10 fat bullocks on account of Mr. Charles Stewart, Tahuna, averaged £l3 ss. There was a small yarding of dairy cattle, and no choice heifers came forward. There was an extra-large yarding of fat and store pigs. Baconers and porkers sold on a par with late .rates, while store pigs were again in keen demand, selling readily at slightly-increased rates. A line of choice maiden sows in pig on account of Mr. H. Gothorpe, of Rototuna, and a line of young pedigree and grade Tamworth sows on account of Mr. W. Bly, of Piako, sold well. Prices were as follow: Beef.— Fat bullocks £l3 ss. Heavy fat cows £8 Is to £9 6s. Medium fat cows £6 11s to £7 15s. Light fat cows £5 10s to £6 ss. Forward-conditioned cows £4 10s to £5. Store cows, fresh, £3 10s to £4 7s. Boners £1 10s to £2 15s. Two and a-half year steers £7 12s 6d. Yearling heifers £3 3s to £5 ss. Potter bulls £2 10s to £6 10s. Dairy Cattle.— Jersey and Jersey-cross heifers £8 10s to £9 15s, others £7 5s to £7 15s. Jersey and Jersey-cross cows £7 10s to £8 15s. Sheep.— Fat ewes, shorn 9s 3d to 12s Bd, woolly 13s to 13s 6d. Woolly hoggets 17s 7d. Ewes and lambs, all counted, 9s 9d. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering i Company’s Matamata stock sale on Wednesday there were full yardings of all classes of cattle, extra-large yardings of all pigs, including baconers, porkers and store pigs. Every- ; thing was sold under the hammer at ' -late rates, store and weaner pigs being in keen demand. Prices were:— Beef.— Fat cows £8 5s to £8 19s. Medium fat cows £7 Is to £B. An average yarding of beef sold at full late rates at the weekly stock sale held at the Frankton yards on Tuesday. A slight decrease was recorded in the values for fat sheep, which were penned in full numbers. Heavy porkers and baconers met with a steady demand, prices, remaining on a par with late rates. Store pigs sold at a slight increase. Prices were:— Beef.— . Fat bullocks £l2 15s to £l2 18s. Medium £ll 5s to £ll 16s. / Heavy fat cows £9 2s to £l2 ss. Medium £7 7s 6d to £8 10s. At the clearing sale on account of Mr. A. E. Bickle, at Whatawhata, conducted by the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company on Friday, very satisfactory prices were realised throughout. The herd came into the ring in good condition, and met with spirited competition, the 40 cows averaging £ll 12s. The fine lot of pedigree Tamworth boars and sows, including many prize-winners, met with keen competition, with high prices ruling throughout. Prices were:— Cows.— Best Jersey and Jersey-cross cows, £ll 10s to £ls; others, £8 10s to £ll. Shorthorn-cross cows, £9 10s to £ls 10s. Friesian-cross cows, £lO 10s to £ls.
