The question of Bible-in-Schools was briefly raised at the November meeting of the Putaruru School Committee. The chairman (Mr. F. C. Flyger) stated that he understood that the Act for providing for Biblereading in schools was likely to pass next session. Messrs. J. Gawith and R. T. Smith expressed opposition to Bible-reading in schools, whilst Mr. A. Anderson did not think that the matter came within the province of the committee. No action was taken.
