| CAMBRIDGE CONVENTION. I The annual convention of the South Auckland District Union of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held at Cambridge on Wednesday. The Morrinsville union was represented by Mesdames D. C. McLeod, W. Johnstone and D. S. Wills. Among the speakers was Rev. F. Gardner Brown, of Morrinsville. I All the officers were re-elected for the ensuing year, Mrs. J. H. Starnes, ■ of Morrinsville, retaining the office | of district vice-president, j It was stated that the debt of the | New Zealand Alliance had been rej duced from £27,000 to £7OOO during ! the year. Plans for the current year | were outlined and discussed. The I business of the meeting was inter- < spersed with musical and elocutionary items.
