SHIPMENTS OF MEAT.

The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board is advised from London that the shipments from Australia and South America to the United Kingdom during the first half of August were as follows:

Australia.—Mutton, 8938 carcases, lamb 5708 carcases, beef 28,945 quarters. South America.—Mutton 103,639 carcases, lamb 88,404 carcases, frozen beef 266,000 quarters, chilled beef 258,418 quarters. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as follows:—Mutton 25,991 carcases, lamb 71,818 carcases. The shipments from South America to the -Continent of Europe during the same period were as follows: Mutton 36 tons, frozen beef 2854 tons.
