MORRINSVILLE. At the Farmers' Auctioneering Co.’s Morrinsville sale on Friday there was a good yarding of all classes of cattle and sheep. Cow beef met with good competition, and sold readily at late quotations. Store cattle and sheep also, sold at late rates. Dairy cattle came forward in large numbers, and choice Jersey cows and heifers sold well. There was an exceptionally large yarding of all classes of store pigs, competition was keen, the whole yarding changing hands under brisk bidding. Prices were:— Cattle.— Fat cows and heifers, £8 15s to £9 16s. Medium fat cows, £7 6s to £8 12s. Light fat cows, £5 15s to £7 2s 6d. Forward conditioned cows, £4 12s 6d to £5 GLOs. Store cows, £3 5s to £4 ss. Boner cows, £2 to £3. 3-Year steers, £9 ss. Yearling steers, mixed colours, £2 10s. Yearling Jersey-cross heifers, £3 to £3 11s. Other heifers, £2 10s to £2 13s. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co. held their usual stock sale at Matamata on Wednesday . A good yarding of fat and store cattle came forward, cow beef meeting with keen ' competition. There was a large attendance of Waikato buyers and practically every line was quitted after keen .competition.
