Mr. and Mrs. H. Dukeson returned j from a visit to Auckland last week. Mrs. Mullane was a visitor to Matamata last week. Mr. Karlson, of Arapuni, spent the week-end in Auckland. Mrs. S. J. Parker is spending a 1 holiday in Auckland. Miss Beea and/Mr. Fred. Beca are on a holiday visit to Auckland. Mr. Callaghan spent the week-end in Auckland. Mrs.'’ Goodwin, of “ Black Hill,” Waihi, is on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. G. Brown, of Overdale. Mr. and Mrs. Carlson, Mr. A. S. Carlson and the Misses B. and K. Carlson, of Owhango. were visitors to Putaruru last week. Mr., Mrs. and Miss Flyger spent a few days in Auckland last week. They were the guests of Mrs. Clayton, of Epsom. Miss Robinson, of Matamata, and Mr. Lee and Mr. G. Hartley, of Wellington, were visitors to Putaruru last week. They were the guests of Mrs. Murphy. The many friends of Mrs. Paxton, who is in the Matamata Hospital, will be pleased to hear that she is much improved in health and is ex- j pecting to return home very soon. *
The many friends of Mr. K. Bicknell will be sorry to hear that he had to go into hospital _to-day for an operation for appendicitis. Matamata. Mr. and Mrs. J. Morrow, of Matamata, are spending a holiday in Auckland and Papatoetoe. Miss E. Carter, of Whangarei, is I the guest of Miss W. Banks, Matamata. , Mr. and Mrs. G. Carlson and the Misses Carlson were the guests of Miss A. Robinson last week. Last week Chief Constable H. Maisey, of Waipu, made a brief visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Maisey, of Matamata. Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Hastings, of Hangawera road, have returned from' a visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Oates and the Misses Oates motored to Auckland for the week-end. Mrs. T. Heeps, of Moorhouse street, has been spending a holiday at Auckland. Miss Taylor, of Rotorua, is staying with Mrs. D. C. McLeod, Strathmore street.
