PUTARURU BRANCH. The July meeting of the Putaruru branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers Union was held on Friday, Mrs. Campbell presiding over a fair attendance. Those present w'ere Mesdames Campbell, Karl, Robinson, Lopdell, Nicklin, Shine, Morrison, Walsh, Voyce, Sneddon, Baldwin, Hollinshead, Allwood, Dodd, Scott, Alexander, Truss and Leslie Van Veen.

It was decided to collect articles of clothing to send to needy families in the towns. Any parcels may be left with members of the Division, who will attend to their despatch.

Mr. Jarrctt, Government poultry expert, gave an address, explaininghow poultry keeping could be made a paying proposition on dairy farms. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Jarrett at the conclusion of the meeting, when afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Morrison and Walsh.
