MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Putaruru branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held on Friday, Mrs. W. Campbell presiding. Those present were : Mesdames Karl, Walsh, Pearson, Worth, Lopdell, Duxfield, Scott, Baldwin (2), Voyce, Robinson, McKeon, Sneddon, Allwood, Ranger, Dodd, Van Veen, McGowan, Morrison, Leslie, Lloyd, Ruthe and Addenbrooke. Two new members, Mrs. Ruthe and Mrs. Spaine, were proposed. Discussion took place regarding a site for the proposed rest room, but it was finally decided that no move could be made in the matter without first consulting the Plunket Society. Therefore a combined meeting was called for a later date. Mesdames Sneddon, Karl and Van Veen were appointed a sub-committee to obtain particulars relating to the different sites offered. Owing to ill health Mrs. Voyce resigned her position as vice-president, Mrs. Allwood fce.ng appointed to the vacancy. Regret was expressed at the departure from the district of Mesdames Addenbrooke and Lloyd.
