The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has ’ received the following cable from its London office, dated. March 28, 1930, advising that the following are the approximate average prices realised for the week, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods offering during the week, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market and or ex London stores:— New Zealand Sheep.—Canterbury and crossbred wethers, 48ib to 561 b, 63d; North Island and maiden ewes, 571 bto 641 b, 6sd; selected, 651 bto 721 b, sid; North Island maiden ewes, 481 bto 561 b, 6*d, 571 bto 641 b 62d, 651 bto 721 b 53d; ewes, 481 bto 641 b sid, 651 b to 721 b sd.
