PRESENTATION.

F.A.C. STAFF. A pleasant little function took place at the Matamata general store of the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company Ltd. recently, the occasion being a farewell to Mr. Arthur Connolly, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Connolly, who was leaving that day to occupy a position at Whakatane. In presenting 'Mr. Connolly, on behalf of the staff, with a leather travelling bag, the branch manager, Mr. P. Catchpole, expressed regret that the company was losing the services of the recipient. Mr. Connolly had been a member of the staff for 2i years, during which time he had displayed keenness and ability and the aptitude for getting along well with his fellow employees and the general public. The speaker wished him every success in his new sphere of activity. Mr. Connolly suitably replied, expressing gratitude for the kindness shown to him and regret at severing his association with such good friends. He would, however, always remember them .with warm feelings.
