“ Since I have been back I have come to realise that the press of New Zealand is of a very high standard indeed,” said Mr. C. S. Jeffs when giving his impressions of a recent trip to England and America to a meeting of the Feilding Chamber of Commerce. “ The English papers have begun to adopt the American style of scare headlines and the making of much out of inquests, etc., and it is very refreshing to return to the papers we have in New Zealand.”
