POWER FOR TOKOROA.

MEETING TO BE HELD. The secretary of the Tokoroa Pro- * gress League wrote to the Thames Valley Power Board on Tuesday asking whether a meeting between the board and settlers could be arranged to take place at Tokoroa to discuss the cost and possibilities of bringing the power into the district. It was pointed out that there were approximately fifty dairy farmers, a dairy factory and about twelve other residents of various occupations in the district. Practically all the farmers used milking machines, and the electricity would also be used for pumping water. It was decided to meet the settler*on a date to be arranged. "L”
