OVERSEAS VISITORS.

IMPRESSIONS OF FARMERS. In the course of conversation with a representative of the Press, Mr. Shoobridge, who is a dairyman in the Derwent district and leader of the party of Tasmanian farmers, stated that they came to New Zealand to learn, and they had the satisfaction of knowing that tney had succeeded in doing so. What they had learned would make them better farmers when they returned to Tasmania. The greatest impression gained (apart from the wonderful hospitality) was the result obtained from second-class land. They knew what to expect from land situated in such districts as the Manawatu, but they were astounded at the returns secured from the poorer quality land. The exports from New Zealand were impressive. Other members spoken to also expressed themselves in similar terms.
