Putaruru. , Mr. F. J. B. Whyte spent ' the week-end in Otorohanga. Mrs. Harwood, of Wellsford, la spending a few days in Puta^iru. Mr. H. Borchard was a visitor to Auckland during the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. K. McDermott have returned from a trip to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. W. Stewart, of Remuera, are on a visit to Putamru. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. O. Lochhead spent the week-end in Auckland. They were the guests of Mrs. M. P. McDermott. Mrs. S. J. Sawyer, of Remuera, is visiting Putaruru. She is the guest of Mrs. McGowan. Mrs. Goodwin, “ Black Hill,” Waihi, is the guest of Mrs. W. C. Brown, Overdale. ' «* Mrs. A. E. Law, of Mokai, has gone to Wellington on a visit to her parents. Miss Kells, of Lichfield, has returned after a long holiday spent in Auckland visiting her sisters. Mrs. A. O. Brooks returned to Putaruru last week after a lengthy stay in a private hospital in Hamilton. Her many friends will be pleased to learn that she is making a satisfactory return to health.
Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. Matheson, of Waverley, are staying with Mr. and Mrs. G. Howie, of Morrinsville. Mrs. A. M. Seales and Miss A. Seales are spending a short holiday at Rotorua. Miss M. Strevens and Miss L. Strevens spent the week-end at Waihi.
Miss M. Grimwade spent the week- i end at Auckland. Mrs. A. Carter, of Mangateparu, has been spending a short holiday at Auckland. Miss E. Cussen, who has been on sick leave for some time, has returned to her position at the Morrinsville High School. Miss D. Parker spent the week-end at Matamata. Miss Gwen Mueller, of Auckland, has been spending a few days with her parents at Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. McKenna, of Waihi, have been visiting Mrs. Woods, of Morrinsville. Miss R. Wilson has returned from I a few days spent at Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. S. Chapman motored to Rotorua for the week-end. Mrs. P. J. McNaughton has returned to her home at Kereone after spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs. P. Coleman, of Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. G. Oates and family motored to Auckland for the weekend. u
