| PREVENTIVE OF LOCKJAW. How many motorists driving on country roads know that in their petrol tanks is a wonderful antiseptic which in the event of a crash will ward off lockjaw ? Dr. G. A. Stephens, quoted in the Medical Press, states that' at large factories where petrol has been introduced for the treatment of wounds and bums it has been demonstrated that the number of redressings has been reduced by 25 per cent. “ For motor car accidents, where the wounds have been contaminated by soil from the road, the pouring of petrol from the tank can be relied upon to ward off tetanus or jockjaw.”
