MORRINSVILLE. ' There was an extra-heavy yarding of cattle of all classes at Dalgety and Company’s sale at Morrinsville on Friday. Competition was keen throughout, with buyers present from Auckland, Papakura and Waikato. Practically a complete clearance was effected at very satisfactory sates. Prices were as follow: Beef.— light fat cows, £7 10s to £9. light Jersey cows, £5 8s to £6 12s. Young store cows, Shorthorncross, £5 11s to £6 13s. .Aged store cows, £5 15s to £6 2s. Friesian store cows, £5 15s to £6 ss. Jersey-cross store cows, £3 18s to £4 16s - „ 4-Year store bullocks, ( £ll 2s 6d. 2-Year store bullocks, £6 ss. Friesian cows and calves, £6 6s. Yearling Jersey heifers, £5 8s to £6 2s. , .. Fawn and choice Jersey heifers, £7 to £7 ss. Small and mixed Jersey heifers, £4 to £5 6s. At Dalgety and Co.’s sale at Ma.ta--mgta on Wednesday, a good yarding of beef and store cattle sold under keen competition, while the competition shown in buying a particularly fine yarding of empty Jersey heifers was poor. Prices were: Prime fat cows, £ll 12s to £l2 2s. Good fat cows, £8 17s 6d to £lO 10s. Fresh" conditioned cows, £6 15s to £B. Good heifers, £7 to £8 10s. Store cows, £4 2s 6d to £6. Empty Jersey heifers, £5 5s to £5 12s. Holstein 18-months steers, £6 to £6 ls X. CA Yearling Jersey-cross heifers, £4 19s. Yearling Jersey heifers, poor, £2 11s to £2 12s- 6d. Bulls. — Jersey, £ls. Shorthorn, £l4. Holstein bulls, potters, £5. Yearling Jersey bulls, £6 to £7 ius. dairy heifers, £l2 to £l3 15s. Ordinary heifers, £9 to £lO 10s. Best cows, £lO to £ll 10s.
