Putaruru. Mrs. Blamires, of Auckland, is at present the guest of Miss Alcorn. Mr. and Mrs. McGowan spent the week-end in Rotorua. Mr. W. McArthur, of Auckland, with two friends, visited the Selwyn mill last Friday and Saturday. Miss Henderson, of Wellington, is visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. R. Henderson, of Arapuni. Mrs. Ivar K. Karlson, of Arapuni, who has been spending a holiday in Auckland, returned on Saturday last. Mr. and Mrs. Woods, of Selwyn, have returned to take up their residence in this district after their reI cent wedding. , Mr. C. P. Oates, who has been a resident of Putaruru for some time past, left on Monday for Ohaiipo, where he intends to reside in future. Mrs. E. A. Stephenson is at present an inmate of a private hospital at Matamata, and her friends will be pleased to learn that she is making satisfactory progress towards recovery.
Matamata. < 1 Mr. and Mrs. H. Marshal], late of Okauia, have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Flower, Matamata, for some days. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Schofield left Matamata on Friday evening for Auckland, where Mr. Schofield will attend the annual meeting of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. Mrs. Schofield will spend a week or so with her mother. Morrlnsville. Mrs. P. Lyons, of Auckland, is visiting her mother, Mrs. O. Glynn. Miss Madge Tate, of Hamilton, is staying with Dr. and Mrs. E. Seville. Miss G. Hunt spent the week-end at Auckland. Mrs. L. Woods has returned to Tauranga after staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Lowry. I Miss Goodwin and Miss Molly I Goodwin, of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs. O. Glynn, Kurunui. Rev. and Mrs. Garlick attended the Baptist Conference in* Auckland last week. Mrs. Blair Whyte, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs. H. J. Clifford, has returned to Hamilton.
