Putaruru. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. O. Lochhead spent a few days at Taupo last week. Mrs. C. Karlson, of Arapuni, is spending a holiday at Auckland as the guest of Mrs. Grey, of Epsom. Messrs. C. Karlson and C. R. McDermott motored to Auckland during the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Leggatt and their two sons spent the week-end at Waihi beach.

Mrs. Addenbrooke, of Lichfield, has returned from a fortnight’s holiday at Auckland. Mr. R. Dunlop, of Lichfield, has returned from a two-months’ holiday at Wanganui. Much regret was felt at the retirement of Mrs. Dodson, captain of the Girl Guides. She had been a great help to the girls. Miss Jones, of Waotu, who was enrolled on Saturday, is to take Mrs. Dodson’s place.

Morrinsville. Mrs. Fulton, of Lincoln street, has left on a visit to Taupiri. Miss I. Lloyd spent the week-end at her home at Thames. Mrs. F. W. Chadwick is on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. F.‘ Hanan has returned from a holiday at Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Cameron and children spent the week-end at Tauranga. Mr. and Mrs. Chapman, of Te Aroha, have taken up their residence in Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Robertson, who have been on a three months’ tour of the South Island, have returned to Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. W. Burt, of Dunedin, who have been staying in Morrinsville for a fortnight, left last night for Wellington.
