Do not allow the fan belt to be- I [ come too slack. If it is, release the { i locking device and tighten the belt | until no slippage occurs. It is unwise, however, to make the belt too j tight, for this will put a strain on » the fan pulley bearing, while there j is a danger of the belt snapping.

Some people are basing their opinion lon the belief that the seasons in New Zealand closely follow those experienced immediately previous in Great Britain. Whether the prophets will j he right or not, dairy farmers are advised to prepare for shortage of feed, and one of the ways to do so is to make ensilage of the early growth of grass and to make arrangements for root crops.
