BRIDGE AND MUSICAL EVENING
Mrs. Alcorn was the hostess at an evening tendered at her residence in - honour of her sister, Madame Winnie Fraser, the well-known singer of ?| a ri and r MiSS of iw ~* rlC & e was indulged in and plater those present were given a musical treat that will long be remembered. Miss Bedford gave several elocutionary items that stamped the performer as an elocutionist of considerable merit. Madame Fraser, who recently filled an engagement with the Koyal Auckland Choir, gave a number of selections from her extensive repertoire that served to display the varied qualities of her trained voice. Mrs. Alcorn also sang “ er usual delightful manner. Those present were Miss Coupe, Mesdames Tulioch, Lcchhead, Snell Messrs. T. F Snell, Shimmons, W.’ .Dunlop, L. Addenbrooke, J. C. Ross Mrs. Alcorn entertained the guests* to a recherche supper.
