ART LOVERS.

In a room of his car-tie a baron once placed all his fine old paintings, and one very large mirror. Before eac.'i of these masterpieces, and also in front of the mirror, he laid a beautiful rug to protect 'his floor in these places. Th's comp’eted, he invited the countryside to visit this room as an art gallery, and for many years it has served in such capacity.

The rugs before the paintings are frayed now and worn thin with the passing of many feet. The rug before the mirror is almost new. (It has just been replaced for the twentyflf.h time.)
