Putaruru. Mrs. J. C. is spending a few days’ holiday in Auckland. Mrs. G. D. Brown has returned after a health-recruiting trip to .Raglan. Mr. W. H. Clarke, of Wellington, has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Vosper. Miss Dora Bedford, of New Plymouth, is on a visit to Putaruru and is the guest of . Mrs. Tulioch. Madame Winnie Firaser, sister of' Mesdames Alcorn and Tulioch, is on a visit to Putaruru and is the guest of the former. » Mr. C. P. Oates, who has been spending a holiday in the Waikato, returned to Putaruru on Monday. Canon Kayll was a visitor to Putaruru over the’ week-end. He preached in s the Church of England on Sunday. Mr. Shimmons, of New Plymouth, is a visitor to Putaruru and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. O. Lochhead. Rev. S. R. Wareing, vicar of Putaruru, who has been ill, is now making satisfactory progress towards recovery. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Hutton and the Misses Hutton left during the week--end for Auckland, where they will spend the remainder of the school holidays.
Morrinsvil’e. Mrs. H. Hill has been spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. Stewart, of New Plymouth, is staying with Mrs. Garliek at the Parsonage, Morrinsville. Mrs. R. J. Meats, of Bank street, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. Jellyman has teen on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. W. Bailey, of Putaruru, is staying with Mrs. D. Dodd, Kereone road. Mrs.' Annesley Smith has been on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. N. Hastings has motored to Auckland on a short visit. Mrs. Renshaw, of Thames, is the guest of Mrs. Jenkins, Studholme street. Matamala. Mrs. Parkinson, of Auckland, is visiting Rev. and Mrs. C. W. Turner. ' Miss Margaret Tiddy is spending a holiday with Mrs. T. H. Prowse. Mr. and Mrs. O': F. Wells, Matamata, left for Auckland yesterday. Miss W. Banks is the guest of Mrs L. Williams, Remuera. Miss Isobel Stevenson, Palmerston North, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. A. C. Hampton. Miss E. Griffiths, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. Hill, is visiting Auckland. Miss J. Cameron, who has been staying with Miss M. Schwarz, has returned to the Auckland Training College.
