WIRE SCREENS.

FOB CLOSED CARS. | A new and very practical suggestion has recently been made in U.S.A. in connection with closed car bodies in the fitting of wire screens to the windows of the car in summer time. Practically every closed car body is adaptable to the installation of wire screens, and it is stated that these conveniences do not obscure the vision nor do they interfere with traffic signals any more than do closed glass windows in winter. They do prevent the entrance of winged pests into the car so equipped. They may be made into articles of attractive beauty. Best of all, they may be manufactured at a comparatively-low cost and should yield a neat profit to the maker.

Wire screens may be broadly classed in two types-—removable and fixed. Each type has its advantages. For instance, the removable screen can easily be taken out when the hot weather is over and stored in the garage against another season, whereas on the other hand the fixed installation can be made more nearly dustproof and noiseless and need not
