“ May I light up my car ? It is outside the court, and with so many policy about I might be fined for having no lights,” said a member of a jury which was in the midst of hearing a case at the Supreme Court at Wanganui the other day, while outside the shades of evening drew on. Another juror also rose to say that his car was outside. His Honour the Chief Justice smilingly gave his consent to the jurors leaving the court to light up, but eventually a constable was despatched to perform this office.
