FAREWELL TO MISS THOMPSON

BIBLE CLASS FUNCTION. The members of the Methodist Bible Class met during the week to say farewell to Miss Molly Thompson, a prominent member, who left for her home in Wellington on Monday night. The Rev. 11. Ashworth presided over a large attendance, indicative of the esteem in which the young lady was held. Games, etc., filled in the time pleasantly, the following contributing to the musical part of the programme: Pianoforte duet, Misses EJ. Wheeler and N. Benton; quartette, Misses Wheeler (2) and Benton (2); instrumental duet, Messrs. C. P. Oates and J. Gawith; recitation, Mr. J. Brown.

Rev. Ashworth, in an appreciative speech, presented Miss Thompson with a Methodist tune book, and Miss Thompson feelingly responded. A dainty supper formed a fitting finale to a pleasant evening.
