Putaruru. Mr. and Mrs. Reid left for their new home in Wellington last week. Miss Rita Craig left on Monday for Gisborne. Miss E. Rolfe left last week for a holiday to be spent at Gisborne. Mr. and Mrs. S. Edmonds left this week for their new home at Reparoa. -Mr. F. D. J. Whyte is spending the school holidays in Auckland. Mrs. W. C. Hewitt and family are on a month’s visit to Putaruru. Mrs. K. G. Pudney, of Arapuni, has returned home after six weeks’ visit to her sister, Mrs. L. H. Bent. Miss McCarrol! and Miss Wallis have gone to Kaitaia l for the school holidays. Mr. J. C. McCrea, of Wellington, has been a visitor to Putaruru, staying with his sister, Mrs. J. Francis. Mrs. A. G. Leggatt left last week with her two sons for the Waihi beach. They expect to be away for a fortnight. Miss Molly Thompson, who has been stopping with her aunt, Mrs. R. T. Smith, left for her home in Wellington last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. J. Francis left on Tuesday for a holiday to the South Island. They intend to Visit Mt. Cook while away.
MorrinsviPe. Mrs. Hastings, of i-langawera road, is cn a short visit to Auckland. Miss J. Buchanan is spending the holidays at her home in Paeroa. Mrs. D. Dodd, of ICereone road, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Miss V. Noble is spending a health-recruiting vacation at Thames. Mrs. Butts, who has been staying with Mrs. L. Echini, has returned to Rotorua. Mrs. H. J. Clifford haS returned from a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Goodwin, at Tirau. Miss McCormick, of Auckland, who has been staying with Mrs. Aitken, has left for Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Kart, of Tahuna, have left on a visit to Palmerston North. Mrs. J. Milton, of Motumaoho, has returned from a six-months’ visit to Scotland, where she visited her parents. Mrs. E. Har.an, who has been staying with Mrs. F. Hanan, has left for Auckland. Mrs. A. Mueller, of Coronation road, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. E. Jones, of Waiuku, who was a resident of Morrinsville for many years, has been visiting friends in this district. Miss M. Baxter, of Ladies’ mile, Auckland, is staying with Mrs. A. Carter, Mangateparu. Mrs. Patt. Schnackeuberg, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. W. Johnstone, Mangateparu.
Miss Gray, who has been the guest of Mrs. B. J. Pirrit, Kereone, while in New Zealand, has left for her home in Australia. Miss M. Grimwade, accompanied by Mrs. C. M. Gummer, left for Auckland cn Saturday. They will spend a fortnight’s holiday at Miss Grimwade’s home at Takapuna.
