PUTARURU REPRESENTATION.
POWER BOARD ELECTION. Meeting to be Held. "Mr F. W. Furkert, under-secretary to the Public Works Department, -wrote to the Thames Valley Power Board at its last meeting stating that before the town district of Putaruru could secure representation on the Power Board the formalities of the Local Elections add Polls Act would have to be complied with. If Putaruru was prepared to remain unrepresented till March, 1932, the greater part of the expense of an election could be avoided by the nomination of only two candidates for Matamata town district and Matamata county. The chairman said Mr. Anderson was going to arrange for a meeting at Putaruru. Mr. Anderson said that with a conference some agreement might e re jt was decided to hold a conference, to be attended by the chairman, manager and Mr. Anderson.
