S.A. BOYS’ HOME.

LANTERN LECTURE. Work of the Sudan Mission. The Salvation Army Boys’ Home (Hodderville) was the scene of a pleasant evening’s entertainment on Friday, when Mr. J. Priestly, general secretary of the Sudan United Mission, visited the home and gave an interesting lecture on the work of the mission.

Major Armstrong welcomed Mr. Priestly and after devotional exercises, Mr. Priestly gave his lecture, which was illustrated by many interesting lantern slides. Miss Barnett, a missionary from the Solomon Islands, was present, and she gave a brief but interesting address. At the close of the entertainment the boys gave Mr. Priestly three rousing cheers, and as one visitor remarked the boys certainly knew how to cheer. Mr. J. S. Reid operated the lantern. Major Armstrong and Mr. Sealey expressed the thanks of the staff and boys to Mr. Priestly and party I for their kimlness. The thanks of all are dim to Mr. S. G. Barnett for motoring the party to the home.
