PUTARURU SALEYARDS.
ANNUAL MEETING. Increased Interest Shown. The annual meeting of the Putaruru Saleyards Company, Ltd., was held on Saturday, Mi. D. D. Sneddon, ohairman of directors, presiding. | The annual report, which was adopted, stated that the season’s operations disclosed a net profit of £39 17s sd, the total income from all sources being £ll3 2s lOd, being £4l 3s 6d in excess of the previous year. | It is gratifying to note the increased revenue, and it would appear that shareholders are taking a greater interest in their own concern. The efforts of the local stock agents towards increasing the sales at the saleyards are having satisfactory results. “It is felt -that the | corner has been turned,” concluded the report. Mr. Sneddon was re-elected, and ; Mr. R. A. Bent was elected in the place of Mr. F. R. Barnett, who tendered his resignation as a director. It was decided to place on record the appreciation of the company of Mr. Barnett’s services. Mr. J. T. Parker was re-elected auditor. No provision so far has been made for a sale during August, and it was decided to approach the auctioneering companies asking that they hold I a sale in August, the' two companies to arrange as to who will conduct 1 the sale.
