An Appeal To The Residents of Putarora And District. The Putaruru Farmers’ Union is asking the Town Board to start a Fund for the relief of distress in the earthquake area of the South Island. To this end the Union asks for the co-operation of the various religious denominations and sports bodies, etc., and thus show our sympathy in. a practical manner. All subscriptions received will go forward in the name of the Town and District, anct it is hoped that the result will be such as will make everyone proud of their Town and District. L. M.
