The Venerable Archdeacon E. M Cowie, of Hamilton, paid an official visit to Putaruru on Tuesday. The Anglican parish of Putaruru will be represented at the annual Svnnd at Hamilton next Week by the Bev. Stephen B. Wareing, Messrs J. B. O. Lochhead and Seton (Tirau). The Hon. W. Downie Stewart, Minister of Finance in the Coates Government, who has been spending the past fdur or five months at Botorua, passed through Putaruru on Tuesday evening on his way to Wellington. By courtesy of the Government a Ministerial car was placed at the honourable gentleman’s disposal.
