FASHION TRICKS FROM PARIS.
The extremely short skirt is no longer smart. French dressmakers almost without exception have settled on the skirt coming two or three inches below the knees. A circular movement of the skirt below the low hipline was featured by many of the most, important dressmakers. Gradually, though ’-cry slowly, the waistline is going up and the bodily contours are being more clearly defined. There is a decidedly generous use of material in many of the new frocks, and yet very little of the baggings that was permissible some seasons ago.
