Putaruru. Miss Lee, of Frankton, is on a visit to her sister, Mrs. Murphy. Miss Rolf returned last week from a holiday in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Brown and Mr. C. Brown are on a fortnight’s motor tour of Waikato. Mr. R. G. Brown, of the Taupo post office staff, is spending his annual leave in Putaruru. Mrs. C. G. Alcorn and Mrs. J. J. Shiite, who have teen on a short holiday to Thames, returned last Friday. Mr. A. C. Thompson, manager of the Putaruru branch of the Bank of New Zealand, returned to Putaruru during the week-end, accompanied by his bride. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson received a hearty welcome home. Matamata. Mr. and Mrs. W. Crabb have returned from a visit to Tauranga. Mrs. A. Lofroth has been visiting Mrs. Ammunsen, of Peria. Messrs. N. Lofroth and W. Fin.nerty and their party have been on a motor trip of a week’s duration in the Taranaki district. They travelled 800 miles without breakdown or puncture.
Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Wallis, of Thames street, are visiting Raglan. Miss Parker and Miss Oates spent the week-end at Matamata. Mrs. H. Kissling is the guest of Mrs. I. M. Dewes, George street. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Marshall have returned from a visit to Auckland. Miss K. Glynn, of New Plymouth, is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. Glynn, Kurynui road. Miss M. Christie, of Tatuanui, spent the week-end with Mrs. J. Boles. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Francis, formerly of Walton, were visiting friends in the Morrinsville district last week. Mrs. Flowerday, Senr., and Mrs. F. Cluett motored from Auckland to visit Mr. and Mrs. C. Flowerday, Mangatepavu. I Mrs. Beckett, who has been spending a holiday in Morrinsville with Mrs. \V. Fulton, Lincoln street, has I returned to her home in Marton. I :
