WALLACE MILKING MACHINE.
ATTRACTION TO FARMERS. The Waikato Winter Show is certainly better than ever this year and in keeping with the show the Wallace exhibition stand is better than ever before. In the past this enterprising firm has shown many of its manufactures of interest to dairy farmers, but the 1929 exhibits eclipse all past efforts ‘ to bring before the farmer the most progressive and efficient methods of farming. Several of the exhibits shown on this stand are entirely new and have not been shown before in any part of New Zealand, and any farmer who has “ Progress ” for a motto wou.M be well advised to call and see th.s truly-wonderful exhibition. The Super Machine. Three types of milking machines are on show of sizes to suit various farms and conditions. This year “ Wallace ” are offering better quality than ever ; as an instance attention is at once attracted, when
inspecting the Super machine, to the solid copper vacuum tank in place of the usual method of using plain galvanised iron. This tank makes the weak link of the old methods one of the strongest, and so a Super Wallace machine now, more than ever, represents to the farmer a whole life investment. Diabolo Separators. The display of Diabolo separators is as attractive as ever and quite a new departure is shown by driving an 80-gallon machine with a complete chain drive. This is an interesting exhibit alone well worth inspecting. The 1929 Pye pulley is still a 100 per cent, efficiency manufacture, the fame of which has quickly gone through New Zealand. The finish of this self-governing, shock-absorbing pulley is a tribute to the inventorengineer. General Farm Implements. A comprehensive display of farm machinery is incorporated on the Wallace stand. This includes harrows, motor topdressers (a new invention which motorist farmers have been waiting for), gates and pumping appliances. The “ Wallace ” exhibition is tastefully set out and would do credit to any show in the world. It is situated directly behind the root exhibits. Any farmer who leaves the show without having inspected the “ Wallace ” exhibition will not have seen the complete 1929 Waikato Winter Show. Incidentally it might here be mentioned that the Wallace milking machine installed in Central Africa by Messrs. D. McL. and C. Wallace some two years ago is still giving entire satisfaction, although worked by black labour, a fact which has led to a number of orders coming to Wallace’s from the same country.
