COUNTY COUNCIL MEETINGS.
ELECTION OF CHAIRMEN. The annual meetings of county councils were held on Wednesday. . > Matamata. Cr. J. W. Anderson, proposed by Crs. K. S. Cox and J. Bruce, was reelected for the sixteenth term. Crs. G. Middleton, J. Moil- and E. T. Morriss took their seats on the council for the first time, and were welcomed by the chairman. Psako. , Cr. W. R. Lowry was re-elected unopposed.
