CLEARING SALES. Mr. P. S. Phllpott. There was an exceptionally large attendance at Mr. P. S. Philpott s clearing sale, conducted by the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company, at Tatuanui on Wednesday. An average price of £9 16s was realised for the 47 milking cows sold, top price being £l4. Sundries sold well, a fourcow milking plant realising £BO, a mower £22 and a set of harrows £lO. The pedigree Jersey null, Sunbeam’s Progress, was bought by Mr. F. R. Marx, of Ngarua, for 14 guineas.. Prices were as follow*: — Dairy Cows.— Jersey and Jersey-cross cow's, July-August calvers, £li 10s to £l4. Later calvers, £9 to £ll. Shorthorn cows, £9 10s to £l2. Holstein cows, £7 15s to £9 10s. _ Choice Jersey heifer calves, £5 ss;. others, £3 4 s to ,£3 IBs. Farm Horses.—£7 to £l4. Pigs.— Stores, 365. Slips, 20s. Sows, 11s to 255. i HAMILTON. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering. . Co.’s weekly sale at the Frankton yards there was a good yarding of beef and mutton. Beef was a shade . easier, but mutton sold at late rates. > There was also a good yarding of : store lambs, which met with keen - competition. Ewes and lambs were t also in demand. A good yarding of 5 pigs sold at late rates. _| * Cattle.—

Slips, 13s to 18s 6dWeaners, 4s to 9s. MORRINSVILLE. There was another good yarding of cattle at Dalgety and Co.’s sale at Morrinsville on Friday. Most of the yarding changed hands at satisfactory rates. Prices were:— Beef.— Light fat bullocks, £9 15s. Forward fat bullocks, £8 10s. Fat cows to £8 2s 6d; others, £f> 12s 6d to £7. Store cows, £5 Is to £6 7s 6d. Cull cows, £3 5s to £3 15s. 2i-Year S.H. and Holstein steers. £6 17s Gd. Inferior Jersey, S.H. and Holstein calves, £2 15s to £3 15s. Steer calves, 30s to £3 10s. Dairy heifers, r.w.b., £7 10s to £lO. Pigs.— Unfinished light baconers, £2 12* to £2 15s. Slips, 17s to 20s. Weaners, good, 12s. MATAMATA. 1 At Dalgety and Company’s Matamata sale on Wednesday there was a good average yarding of cattle, all entries being sold at late rates. Cattle.— i Fat cows £8 10s to £lO.
