Matamata. In Matamata, pells were held iin five of the ridings, and the . sitting- members were all returned with the exception of Cr. ; Judd, of Maungatautari, who , was beaten by Mr. Middleton. The defeat of Cr. Judd will come as a surprise to many of the ratepayers, as he was returned unopposed at the previous poll.
