PERSONAL.

Rev. H. Ashworth will leave Putaruru on Monday to attend the May Synod, which opens at Te Kuiti next week. Mr. and Mrs. Edmeades and family leave for Wellington during the week-end. Mr. Marshall, master in charge of the secondary department of the Potaruru District High School, will spend the May vacation in Christchurch, leaving for the South tomorrow evening. Mr. and Mrs. Hutton and daughters will spend the school holidays in, Auckland. Colonel Campbell, of the Salvation Army headquarters staff, Wellington, was a visitor to the Army home for boys at Putaruru last week. Mr. W. Armstrong, of Ashburton, was a visitor to Putaruru during the week-end and was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Brown. Miss Simpson returned to Putaruru on Tuesday after a holiday in Waihi, where she was the guest of Mrs. Brown, of Adams street.
