AFTERNOON TEA.

Mrs. Burman, of Putaruru, entertained a number of friends during the week-end to celebrate the birthday of her daughter Betty. In addition to the children a number of adults were present. The tables were decorated in grey, gold and black, the crowning feature being the birthday cake. An enjoyable time was spent in music, games, etc., the singing by the children being especially delightful.
