ATTACKED BY A PIG.

CHILD SERIOUSLY INJURED Incident at Kiwitahi. To be attacked and injured by a -pig was the distressing experience of -Gay McMillan, the 31-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. McMillan, of Kiwitahi, on Sunday morning. The little girl was feeding the fowls, and her parents were watching her from a short distance away. Without any warning the pig rushed up, and, catching the girl by the • clothes, dashed her from side to side. ;So sudden and fierce was the attack “that it was several seconds before Mr. McMillan could reach the pig and free the child. In that short period ’her clothes had been rent and a collarbone sustained in addiction to numerous bruises. Inquiries made this morning at ’hospital at Morrinsville, to where the girl was * removed, elicited the information that she had improved considerably, though she was still suffering from the shock of her dreadful experience.
