Putaruru. Mrs. J. Wyatt, of Howick, is on a visit to Putaruru. Mrs. McUowan, who has been visiting her son at Inglewood, returned home last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. AUwood senior, of Matangi, have been on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Allwood, of Lichfield. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Pryor, of Arapuni, have just returned from a noliday spent in the south. Mr. and Mrs. S. Holland, of Takapuna, spent a few days in Putaruru during the week. The Misses A. and E. Ibbotsen are visiting Putaruru. They are the guests of Mrs. K McDermott. Mr. and Mrs. Snodgrass, of Piako, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Vincent, of Lichfield. Mr. Kay is on a visit to his sister, Mrs. Palmer. He is accompanied by his wife. Mrs. Lloyd Francis is on a visit to Putaruru. She is the guest of Mrs. H. B. Coupe. Mrs. Noonan, of Auckland, is on a visit to Putaruru and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Proctor. Miss Torrey, of Taihape, was a visitor to Putaruru over the weekend. Mrs. Burgoyne, of Adelaide, South Australia, is at present on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. W. Proctor, Waotu road, Putaruru Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Barr Brown left Putaruru on Sunday for Wellington. Mrs. Barr Brown sailed by the Makura on Tuesday en route to England. Mrs. Tomalin, who has been an inmate of the Rotorua Hospital for the past few weeks, is home again, and her many friends will be pleased to hear that she is making good progress towards recovery. Morrinsville. Miss A. Cornish has been spending a holiday in Auckland. Miss T. Oates has returned home from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. W. C. Butler, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned home. Miss May Christie, of Tatuanui, spent the week-end with Miss Allwood, Kiwitahi road. Mrs. A. Carter has returned to Mangateparu from a short visit to Auckland. The Misses Arndt, who have been on a visit to friends in the Wairarapa district, have returned home. Miss Helen Firth, of Hamilton, has been spending a few days with Mrs. Seville, Thames street. Mrs. W. Bailey, of Putaruru, paid a short visit to friends in Morrinsville during last week. Mrs. D. Coghill, of Allen street, has returned from a visit to Wanganui and Wellington. Mrs. Walls, of Auckland, is on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. A. Bernstein.
