Wedding Bells.

RUSSELL—BOWLING. A quiet wedding was solemnised at the Morrinsville Methodist Church on Wednesday, when Miss Helen Ada Bowling, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Bowling, of Motumaoho, was married to Mr. Horace Harry Wright Russell, second son of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Russell, of Motumaoho. Rev. E. E. Sage performed the ceremony. The bride wore a frock of saxe blue repp with hat to tone and carried a bouquet of white flowers. She was attended by her sister, Miss Margery Bowling, as bridesmaid, who wore a costume of kingfisher blue with hat to match, her bouquet being of chrysanthemums. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. G. Gibbs junior. . After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. The couple left for their honeymoon, which is being spent in Auckland. On their return they will take up their residence at Motumaoho.

SILVESTER—WEST. The Morrinsville Methodist Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday morning, when Miss Alice Elizabeth Silvester, eldest daughter of Mr. C. Silvester, of Morrinsville, was married to Mr. Ronald Herbert West, eldest son of Mr. Forbes W est, of Piako. The church was artistically decorated by friends of the bride. Miss L. Best was organist. Rev. E. E- Sage carried out the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of fawn wool charmeuse relieved with touches of blue, and a pretty hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of blue and white flowers and asparagus fern. Miss Lily Silvester was bridesmaid and wore a dress of crushed strawberry repp with fawn hat and carried a bouquet of pink dahlias and cosmos. The best man was Mr. Douglas West, brother of the bridegroom. A reception held at the Lounge Tearooms after the ceremony, when the usual toasts were h&noured. The couple were the recipients of a large number of valuable and useful presents, including a substantial cheque. Mr. and Mrs. West left later for their honeymoon, which is being spent in Auckland and New Plymouth. On their return they will live at Horrell’s road, Piako.

HEASLIP—HOLLIER. The marriage was solemnised on April 3 at the Cambridge Presbyterian Church between Stella Irene, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hollier, of Tirau, and Kenneth George eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. George Heaslip, of Cambridge. Rev. James Hay officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory satin and silver lace. The close-fitting bodice was embroidered in pearls and the lace skirt panelled in georgette. The long tulle veil was held by a circlet of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of lovely flowers. Misses Hilda and Edna Hollier, sisters of the bride, attended her as bridesmaids and wore crepe de chine frocks in tones of wistaria and briar rose, and picture hats. Each carried a pretty shower bouquet. Mr. Samuel Heaslip attended his brother as best

man and Mr. Horace Hollier was groomsman.

After the ceremony a reception was held in the Triangle Tearooms, the bride’s mother receiving her guests in a charming ensemble of navy blue Milanese and fox fur. The groom's mother wore a frock of saracen red, and black fur. After the reception the newiy-married couple left amid showers of confetti. They were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents.
