Putaruru. j Mrs. J. Francis is spending a few days in Auckland. ! Mr. and Mrs. Lamb have been on * a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Raise. Mr. and Mrs. jLdnley liobsome have been on a short visit to Putaruru. Miss ironmonger, who has been on a holiday visit to Rotorua, returned home on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Parker have returned to Putaruru after having spent an enjoyable holiday in cruising. •• The engagement is announced of Eileen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Geddes, ?f Arapuni, formerly of London, England, to William James, only son of Mrs. A. Paritt, now of Te Awamutu, and the late Mr. Paritt, of London, England. Matamata. Misses E. and Blanche Ellery, have returned from a holiday spent :n Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Bell and family have returned from a fortnight’s holiday spent at Milford ' beach, Auckland. Morrinsvill'e. Mrs. L. Pye, of Hamilton, is staying- with Mrs. L. W. Ellis. Miss ' Mueller, of Auckland, is staying with Mr. and Mrs. A. Mueller. Mrs. Lowe, who has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. 11. V. Wilcox, of Mangateparu, has left for British Columbia. Dr. Mary Wilson and Nurse Williams were visiting the local school last week for medical inspection. Miss Martin, of Wanganui, and Miss Cheyne, of Taihape, are the guests of Mrs. G. Howie, Morrins-* ville. Mrs. Whitehead, of Palmerston North, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Faulkner, Morrinsville. Mrs. E. B. Strand has returned from a visit to Rotorua, where she was the guest of Mrs. S. Ewen. Miss Margaret Bridge, of Sydney, is spending a holiday with Mrs. P. Reynolds, of Piako. Mr. Rutland, of Christchurch, has been visiting his sister, Mrs. A. W. Fielder, Kurunui, before leaving for England.
